Chilli

Rescued by Katy Steele

Chilli is another Mini who needed relocating and we are happy to report that a match was found and he is in a new and very loving home.  Chilli is a black male, very calm but a great watchdog with very good manners.  He is 10 years old but still very active and it’s a good thing because he now has a new Golden brother who loves to play.

Katy and her husband Jerry have rescued and fostered Goldens in the past but Katy wanted a small dog and she had a Mini growing up.  Her application stated that she was looking for a female salt&pepper with natural ears but she fell head over heels for Chilli.

There were some problems the first few days – Chilli was acting out and trying to take over the house (leaving his mark in a few spots) but that seems to have passed.  He and the Golden have not become best buddies yet but that may happen.  Working dogs and terriers view the world from very different perspectives so it may take some time before the two understand each other.

It takes very special people to adopt a dog 10 years old and we wish them all a wonderful life together.  Thank you Katy for being there and opening up your home and heart to this little man.  Hope he brings you much joy.
