Desire

Rescued by Carol Ente

Desire, her new name by her new “Mom” Carol, has a story of great happiness.  She was turned into the humane society as a stray and after her five-day hold she was released to rescue.  A vet who suspected she had a severe middle ear infection examined her.  She was put on medication but did not respond as hoped.  She was X-rayed and it looked like she might have a tumor on her spine, which would have accounted for her head to tilt to one side.  Thankfully there was no tumor and it is hoped that the meds will finally cure any infection.

Carol adopted Desire though she had not recovered and still needed medication daily.  She still runs in a circle when first let out but that seems stop after a few minutes. She was nicknamed Pretzel at the vet’s office because she looked rather twisted when she ran.  Desire is now on the mend and is in her new home with lots of love and attention.  She now has a dog brother to play with – Spanky (a 4 ½ year old Bichon Friese) and a Mom who loves her dearly.  Her Mom says she is a wonderful little girl who loves to be loved.

Desire was aged at approximately 1.5 years by the vet, so very young to be abandoned.  In addition to her ear infection treatment she was spayed, given a dental cleaning, a health check, and all her shots.  She is black and silver with natural ears and a big sweet heart.

We all know Desire will have a wonderful life in her new home and we wish her good health and long life.  Thank you Carol for your big heart and open arms.
