Lucy

Rescued by Sherry McDowell

Lucy entered the animal regulation shelter in Santa Rosa in very poor health.  She was around 12 years old and needed a number of her teeth pulled.  She also had other physical problems and essentially wasn’t adoptable.  Over the years Sherry has rescued many dogs with this kind of story and found room for this little lady too.  Lucy was very sweet and once she had her teeth pulled her appetite came right back.  She tolerated the grandkids and the younger dogs at her advanced age and slept in any bed she wanted, human or doggie.  She fit right in.  Thanks to Sherry, Lucy enjoyed the remaining time of her life in a loving home where she was part of a family who loved her.
