MITZI

Adopted by Norma Oden

Mitzi, her new name, was a day away from the dog pound when she was saved.  A friend of the family fostered her and then some networking brought her to the attention of rescue.  A lesson to learn here is to always be there for your breed and always contact rescue before sending a dog to the pound.  Bernita Creech, approached one rescue group but they were unable to assist in a rescue and then she found SJMSC Rescue.

Mitzi didn’t have to travel far to find a new and loving home with Norma.  Both were in Sacramento and the match was made at a local park.  Mitzi was brought to the park and Norma and her family were there to meet her, in fact Norma ran, open armed, to this little girl and it was love at first sight.  Gail (who fostered the Mini) and Bernita were there to watch one of the happiest moments of rescue.

This little Mini is about 6 years old and is black and silver.  She is very mellow but can also be very active.  She seems to love everyone (adults, kids and other dogs).  Sadly she had been bred twice in the past 10 months and is still recovering from her last litter.  Norma is taking her to the vet for a well check, shots and spaying so she’ll never have to be “used” again.  Mitzi now has a new life, one of love and comfort and she will have a family who will care about her every need.

Thanks goes to all the people who helped find Mitzi a new home and to Norma who was there to be that new “mom” to a Mini who deserved a better life.  We wish you a long life together.
