Mr. Hobbs

Rescued by

Candice Moura

Mr. Hobbs has a special sad story but it has a happy ending. Hobbs came to rescue when he was surrendered by his family. He was said to have nipped a child. The first lady to take him really loved him but she also had cats and birds that she loved. Hobbs also LOVED the cats and birds and tried to get them every chance he could. Ah, a typical Schnauzer with a prey instinct. We were asked to find him a home because his need to hunt was causing the other animals harm.

Hobbs was then placed with a family with a nine year old girl. He was now in doggy heaven. He had his own person and she had him. They did everything together and he, of course, slept on her bed and spent a great deal of time in her lap. He became the love of her life until the day the house was sold and there was no place to move to with a dog. Poor Mr. Hobbs was in need of a home again.

Now Hobbs is in a home with a Schnauzer brother to play with and a human mom devoted to them both. Candice was unsure about the addition of another boy to her home but things seem to be work very well. Her first Mini, Snookers, is learning to share and also learning to be secure that he is not being replaced. There seems to be enough room in mom's lap and on her bed for two. Hobbs is also teaching Snookers some manners and how to be a dog that plays. The adventures of the backyard are taking on a new meaning for Snookers and both guys seem to be getting along very well. We hope this is the VERY last home that Mr. Hobbs will be in and also we hope he and his new family have a wonderful life together.
