Scotty
Adopted by Ron & Vicki Marien

Scotty, his new name, was the other half of the rescue from the Antioch shelter.  He and his companion (now called Susie) were rescued from the streets.  We cannot be sure if this pair was related or not but they were very important to each other.

This little man went to a home to be a companion to another rescue dog McKeaver.  If you have read any of the stories you will know that McKeaver had a “brother” McGregor who passed away from Cushing’s disease.  The Marien’s pulled out all the stops to try to save McGregor but he didn’t make it.  SJMSC Rescue promised to find them a replacement and we believe we have.

Aged at about 4 years old, Scotty is salt & pepper with natural ears and had been neutered when he was found. He was clippered all over and his beard was chopped off so it was almost impossible to recognize him as a Schnauzer.  He, like his companion, was very dirty and rather thin but all of these things will change with time.  He is very friendly with people and other dogs and has already “moved-in” his new home.

The boys have been playing and playing and playing.  Both seem to be very happy to have each other.  They share their human Mom and Dad and they even share their toys.  Please, keep them in your prayers.

Thanks to Darlene for alerting Rescue to these little “kids” and a reminder to all to keep alert to the shelter in your area.  If a Mini comes in to your shelter make sure to alert SJMSC Rescue.  We will do our best to get them into a loving home as quickly as possible.
