SOPHIE

Adopted Bob & Joyce McLaughlin

Sophie is a salt & Pepper little girl who is just 3 years old.  She was purchased from a breeder and came to a home with a number of kids.  For a while she was OK with them but after a time she became nervous and anxious and started some very bad habits.  Sophie was fine with her adult mom and only wanted to play with her and wanted nothing to do with the kids.  They all tried to make her happy but she was not having anything to do with it.  She was snappy and she could not be trusted when the children were about.  She spent a lot of time in a kennel because she could not interact with the family.

Chris, her human Mom, finally said enough.  It wasn’t fair to the family or to the dog, she had to find Sophie a new home.  SJMSC Rescue was contacted on a Thursday night and the adoption process began.  A perfect match was found, a home without kids and adults who were going to be available full time and who had, oh, so much love to give.  Saturday, Bob and Joyce went to meet Sophie and it seemed to be love at first sight.  She spent most of the meeting in Bob’s lap and gave both tons and tons of kisses.  She went home with them that day.

Sophie now has a chance to prove that she is a good little Mini and we are sure she will have a very happy life with doting humans and a big back yard that is just hers.  She will also get to go with mom once a month so they both can get their hair done.  We wish them all great joy and years of happiness.
