Zelda
Rescued by
Lindy Turner
Zelda
(not her real name) but the name she now has for life, was brought in as
a stray. After her five
days were up at the shelter she was transferred to the humane society
where she spent another five days until Wendy was called.
This poor old girl looked so sad it made her want to cry. Obviously she had belonged to someone at one time.
She was in a very short clip but she was very dirty and oily and
she smelled really bad. Someone had either given her up or lost her and didn’t know
how to get her back or didn’t want her back – we’ll never know.
Zelda
was given a health check and given her shots.
She was already spayed but she did get the few teeth she had
cleaned. After a few days
at the vet she had to be given fluids because she was dehydrated but she
perked up after that and she was running and hopping around.
She was bathed and then ready for adoption.
The
older girl was going to be hard to place.
It’s not often someone is willing to take on a girl of 9 or 10
(her new Mom is rather sure she’s 10+) but thanks to Lindy she has a
home for the rest of her life. This
little lady is soooo sweet and she just wants to please and she will let
you do anything with her. She
is a little shy but who wouldn’t be after being abandoned but she is
adjusting well in her new home.
Lindy
was asked a number of times, are you sure?
Adopting two dogs at the same time when you already have two at
home, are you nuts. She was
and is sure. She said that she needed to adopt Zelda because she was not
going to be easy to place. Her king size bed is now too small but it’s
filled with love from four-legged “kids” who have a Mom with the
biggest heart in the world. Our
hats are off to you Lindy. Thank
you so much for taking on these two darlings from the street.
