Notes From The Web Master

Your club web site (http://www.sjmsc.com) has been operational for several months now. Several members have made suggestions that have led to improvements in usability. Our thanks to those who took the time to check out the site and provide positive feedback. Please continue to provide the feedback, as it is critical to our continued success.

We have been pleasantly surprised that the Breeder page has led to inquiries from those looking for a pet schnauzer.

We have received a feedback form (in Spanish) from a Schnauzer owner in Mexico who enjoyed our site.

The Library page has started a collection of key documents for Miniature Schnauzer enthusiasts. Currently it contains a reference to the Miniature Schnauzer Breed Standard (on the American Miniature Schnauzer Club site), a document on "Purchasing a Miniature Schnauzer" and a "Travel Checklist" document. (Those of you with other key documents that you believe should be published there, please send them in.)

We are about to add a new section to the site, our "Gallery of Stars." Here we will post a picture of dogs owned by club members that have:

    1. Become a new champion
    2. Won a Group Placement (1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th)
    3. Won Best in Show
The picture will be displayed for one year from the date of the qualifying event. Pictures will be published in a first come, last posted order (i.e. newest entries first.) Owners should send their picture of choice (Either in .JPG format if you have a PC and scanner or hardcopy) and the following information:

    1. The dog’s "call" name
    2. The dog’s AKC registered name
    3. The qualifying event
    4. The date of the event
    5. The owner(s)
    6. The breeder(s)
    7. The handler(s)
    8. The photographer (for proper credits)
    9. A 4 generation pedigree (optional)
Please send in any and all suggestions you might have.
