Board Meeting

Sunday, December 19, 1999

 

President, Marty Goldberg at 11:20 A.M. called the Board Meeting of the San Joaquin Miniature Schnauzer Club (SJMSC) to order.

Brenda Couey moved and Dan Durigan seconded to accept the minutes of the last Board Meeting as published. Motion passed.

Corresponding Secretary: Dan Durigan reported that there was one request for a puppy, which was forwarded to Brenda, our puppy referral coordinator.

Treasurer Report:Pam Satlof stated that the club has $1,3092.20.

Membership Chairman:Dennis Ross stated he has $280 in new membership checks. The checks represent new member application fees.

Point of Information:The SJMSC will need to get permission from AKC to run a B Match.

Newsletter:Dan Durigan has obtained a scanner.

Fun Matches:Cleo Home stated that her committee is working on setting up a Fun Match with Mensona.

Public Awareness/Education: Brenda Couey stated that a grooming seminar is scheduled for February 27, 2000 in Santa Rosa. Brenda has the Cow Palace decorations in her van. She needs a volunteer to take them down to set up at the Cow Palace.

Dan Durigan will hold a grooming seminar at Martinez in June, 2000.

Code of Ethics: Dan Durigan moved and Brenda Couey seconded that we accept the revised “Code of Ethics” with modifications to be published. Motion passed.

Rescue Committee:The Rescue Committee will meet and set SJMSC guidelines/policy regarding the amount of monies to be spent per dog rescue.

Nominating Committee: The returned mailed ballots unanimously state that the “New Board” will assume their duties at the first of the year.

Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 12:10 P.M.

General Membership

The San Joaquin Miniature Schnauzer Club (SJMSC) meeting was called to order at 12:20 P.M. by club president, Marty Goldberg.

New SJMSC Applicants Introduced: Each club member voiced a self-introduction to new member Marit Marino and prospective member Jeanna Brushwood.

Pam Satlof moved and Dan Durigan seconded to accept the SJMSC General Membership Minutes of the last meeting as published. Motion passed.

Report of the President: Marty Goldberg is pleased to report that all paperwork for our application for Non-Profit status has been submitted to both the state and federal governments.

Corresponding Secretary: Dan Durigan stated he received one request for a puppy and that request was forwarded to Brenda Couey, our puppy referral coordinator.

Treasurer’s Report: Pam Satlof stated that the balance in the SJMSC account is $1,309.

Fun Matches and Specialty: Cleo Home stated that we are working on Year 2000 Fun Matches and grooming seminars.

Rescue: The Rescue Committee will meet and establish guidelines/policy regarding monies to be expended per rescued dog. The SJMSC have been rescuing a schnauzer per/month.

Friends of the Club Certificate: Bev Verna will create and submit a “Friends of the Club” certificate.

Nominating Committee: The results of the annual election of the SJMSC Officers have been tabulated. The “New Board” will assume their duties January 1, 2000.
