Notes from your Web Master
The
new year started off with a major problem for us. The
company that was hosting our club web site was acquired
by another company and their ability to support us deteriorated.
We now have a new web site hosting company and things are
stable again. The new site offers e-mail addresses for
club members: "yourname@sjmsc.com"
for free. All mail addressed to yourname@sjmsc.com would
be automatically forwarded to your real email address.
(There is no dial-in access to this provider. I.e., they
are not an Internet Service Provider like MSN, Yahoo or
Earthlink.) If you would like a club e-mail address
please send an e-mail to webmaster@sjmsc.com
requesting it.
Some
of you have asked about the usage of our web site. Is is
used very much? When is it used most? Which Internet
search engines do people use to find the site?
I've
provided the answers to those questions, and more, for the month of
