Grooming Workshop

It was an Irish kind of day in Roseville (near Sacramento) at the grooming workshop on March 17.  Attendee’s came from as far away as Visalia, Petaluma, and San Jose.  Thank you Patricia O’Brien for hosting the workshop!  A special thanks to Carol Carney for making great St Patrick’s day theme bandannas for all the "Groomees” and “groomers”.  We had help finding our way due to the great signs that Natalie Barker made and thank you Natalie for making them so we can reuse them for other workshops.  Thanks to everyone who helped and participated in making this a fun day with our dogs!

The conversation during the seminars and workshops is changing.  It was great listening to members compare Andis to Oster clippers, where to get good deals on equipment and discussing the finer points of scissors selection.  The club is developing a base of well-informed members who are willing to share their discoveries with each other.  If you’re contemplating grooming your own dog, or are thinking of brands to purchase and where to buy, please come to the next grooming seminar or workshop and don’t hesitate to ask questions.

Our next grooming seminar (demonstration) and workshop (hands-on grooming) is scheduled July 8.  A flyer will go out shortly.  You’ll notice this date is just a few weeks before Dog Day Afternoon so you can get your “kids” all spiffed up just in time.  See you there!
