The AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) title focuses on ten behaviors that demonstrate "good citizenship" and is an excellent way to demonstrate the importance of responsible dog ownership.  CGC is one of the fastest growing programs in the AKC and is gaining credibility and recognition throughout communities worldwide.  The dog and owner must demonstrate the following ten tests before an AKC CGC Judge:

bulletAccepting a friendly stranger
bulletSitting politely for petting
bulletAppearance and grooming
bulletOut for a walk (on a loose leash)
bulletWalking through a crowd
bulletSit and Down on command/Staying in place
bulletComing when called
bulletReaction to another dog
bulletReactions to distractions
bulletSupervised separations

The club is proud of its dogs and owners who have passed the AKC Canine Good Citizen test!
