OBEDIENCE
  = Companionship, Teamwork, Competition, Fun

The concept behind obedience training is to develop a close working relationship between you and your dog.  Obedience is the foundation upon which all canine events (conformation and performance) are based.

There is nothing that can compare to the bond that develops between a dog and his handler, the total concentration on the task and the sheer delight of accomplishment that can be seen on the faces of both.  Obedience training is teamwork and demonstrates the dog’s willingness, capabilities and enjoyment of working closely with his human.  Obedience competition can be the most rewarding experience you will ever have with your dog.

Whether training for competition or for good citizenship, your dog will be a better member of society and will be happier knowing that you are his leader and that you expect him to demonstrate his willingness to be part of your team.  Have fun!

The club is proud of its AKC obedience title holders and they can be seen in the Gallery of Stars!   The club's Canine Good Citizens (CGC) are highlighted on the CGC Honor Roll.
